Yeah those pins I posted were only for a special situation where you needed
both round and low profile.

these would work for pins..

it is an attempt to do so. I don't think it works too well. There
seems to be a small probability that it comes up in a non zero state,
which I never got to the bottom of.

The 500k + 1uF looks like part of a power-on reset to reset the 74AC74 to point
to bank 0, perhaps???

I will post a parts list later.
Pins should be round machine pins. you can get round machine pin
headers on ebay for .10-.20 cents per pin. Logic parts look right.
there are variants that also work, TC551001 BFTL for example. no
need for low leakage but it's better of course.

Dear Steve,
I’m excited that you released the QUAD PC board! I’m a new Model 100 owner with
a long history going back to the S-100 bus days. Most of the components on the
board are in the photo on the QUAD web page but I was wondering what capacitors
and resistor values are needed: 0.1uF
What, the rex 4 boards? Don't worry about that. Unless you actually want
them for something? I'll mail them to you just a favor if you have some use
for them, but I don't care about the $6.
I don't have them yet. Probably another week.

Oh very nice. I don't happen to be in the market for quad myself because I
have a pg designs already, but I'll probably build one anyway just
Hi Brian,
I think that the space at one end would be enough for a diode or even a small
jumper; as a matter of fact one of the jumper positions on the M100ROM board is
for (re)programming. You'd still need an adapter of course.
But I don't think I'd bother unless I had a pile of 27C256s to get
Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't bought any other parts yet and the boards
themselves are only $6 for 3. No big.

you can build a Quad if you want.. it's up there. no instructions however.

Crap I'm sorry Mike!
But the question was about an option rom not the main rom. A dip28 chip
just about fills all available volume in the option rom socket. If you need
to add anything else to the board, it will be difficult. There is a little
room on the edge, and there is about 1/10" of height
Mike,
I'm not trying to make a re-programmable Option ROM. Just a one time insert. I
do most of my testing and debugging with Virtual-T, then burn a 27C256 and do
final testing on my NEC which doesn't require an adapter. So its really out of
habit that I ask the question about an adapter for
