So, the pinout for the Model 600 opt rom socket is plain 27256, not the funky pinout from 100/102/200. This means, the most convenient way to make a custom rom, is if you had the original carrier so you could uust slap an ordinary dip28 27C256 in it. No pain in the neck module with a soic

Yeah, the trouble with eBay is that they rarely list the pin diameters and they're usually a little thick for an IC socket, although I guess it doesn't matter if you don't plan to put an IC back in there. Regarding the carrier, on some of my hacks after soldering the pins I just pull it right

The boards are not the same between NEC and M100/T102/T200. Layout and schematic are substantially different. When I designed the original REX in 2007, the board shops that I was using were not able to deal with plated vias straddling the edge of the board. To you a hardened design/product may

Steve, when you say you have to grind the boards, do you mean you grind the long sides down to cut the 28 large through holes in half? That right there is a great example of what I mean by letting the community/users help improve the design. If the cad file were up in a git repo, or just

Does pdd/tsdos/m100 handle zero-length files? I guess the ROM entry directory entries can be 0 bytes, but I don't know about the pdd or software servers. Does Mono in general understand named pipes? I have no experience with it. Anyway this still isn't a bug report or even a feature request.
