Mcomm has proven to be a very handy piece of kit. However I do think the
REX is a must have.
Maybe as a club / group we could do a group order and get some made? It
seems requests for the REX are regular as clock work.
Maybe put some of the profits towards maintaining the site? Idk

This may sound strange, but try removing the internal battery completely. I had
a similar problem when I replace my NiCad with a super capacitor. It turned on

work. I took the super capacitor out and it worked like a cha

Well... I've tried both cold and arctic starts and I'm still getting
vertical lines and unresponsiveness.
Out of curiosity I took the power switch apart again and the machine is
still turning itself on when I toggle the memory power. I wonder if I've
got some kind of short or faulty component?
On
control + break +(either a reset (cold start) or a power toggle (arctic start))
power toggle...however you can do it. I tend in the T200 to toggle
the memory power switch.
all model T computers eventually need the arctic restart ;)

Can I do that if I don't have the power adapter? Is it control, break,
reset, or just control, break?
Also, the machine shouldn't power on just when I power on the memory,
correct?

hold down control and break, and then power up.

No, not really. I typically work from 7:00am until 11:00pm on work and
family matters. Then I go to sleep and start again the next day. I
think instead of a banner, I am simply going to take away the "Order"
button from the order form with a note there. The CEO at my company

I think there are a few of us that would pitch in some funds.
But someone else needs to provide the labor.
Although at least M100 REX plans are out there, no one has committed to
building for anyone but themselves at the moment.
I would really like to see it outsourced to a professional manufac

Hi all,
I replaced the NiCd battery with a replacement NiCd rated as 3.6 V, 60 mAh.
It reads 3.8 V on my multimeter.
I reassembled the components to test it again, and when I switch the memory
power on the LCD immediately turns on without me pressing the power button.
I'm still getting vertical l
I am tempted to personally fund a new production run for all REX variants
if it means I can obtain them for my various NEC machines. :)

Just for the record, is anything in practice actually still officially for sale
on the web site?
I think it would be a good idea to put a banner across the top clarifying the
status and referring to this list or Bitchin100.

I'm not sure about the motor on/off pins since I use a digital recorder, but I
can definitely confirm that swapping the plugs works.
