Known issue. You need to replace the belt.

The belt in every unit has turned to goo by now.
You will want to get some alcohol (preferably 99% not the 70% from the
grocery store) and q-tips to clean up the black goo from the wheels before
putting the new belt on.
How are the DIP switches set? Are you trying with TS-DOS?
