Someone should to do a series of YouTube videos explaining how these
various options work, if nobody else gets on it I'll add it to my queue of
projects.

Among the support files for the extRAM and XR4 'Poor man's REX' devices there
are several programs to save/load option ROM images:
R2D - ROM to TPDD
ROMCOM - ROM to RS-232 (binary)
INTELO - ROM to RS-232 (ASCII Intel format)

It will dump the ROM as an ASCII HEX file to a TPDD device. There are online
utilities that can convert it to a binary file that could be loaded into a REX.
