thanks for the advice so far you guys! There is really no reason I need to use Virtual T I just assumed transfers between the actual m-100 and the virtual T emulator would be rather straight forward from what I had watched in the video I linked. Once again I am a complete novice so I understand

Oops, missed that Jerry was asking to use a TPDD cable to connect to computer. No reason for that... just use a regular serial RS232 cable, null modem wired. TPDD cables are for connection to TPDD drives. No other particular purpose. TPDD drives use TTL level signals. That's why you need a specia

I plan to build one hopefully to confirm (or not) that my TPDD drive is OK and the original cable is bad. The drive gives intermittent results which I think might be related to a bad cable or connector - it could be the header on the drive PCB. Hoping this cable will provide the necessary answers.
