And that was before she found out about MTs, eh?
She must be quite a gal... "8)

thanks for the advice so far you guys! There is really no reason I need to use
Virtual T I just assumed transfers between the actual m-100 and the virtual T
emulator would be rather straight forward from what I had watched in the video
I linked. Once again I am a complete novice so I understand

Yes. I suspect that these cables based on Rick's PCB would also work
to connect a TPDD to a modern PC -- but I've had enough issues
Oops, missed that Jerry was asking to use a TPDD cable to connect to
computer.
No reason for that... just use a regular serial RS232 cable, null modem
wired.
TPDD cables are for connection to TPDD drives. No other particular purpose.
TPDD drives use TTL level signals. That's why you need a specia

I don't think they can be reliably used for anything other than
connecting an M100-family
I plan to build one hopefully to confirm (or not) that my TPDD drive is OK
and the original cable is bad. The drive gives intermittent results which
I think might be related to a bad cable or connector - it could be the
header on the drive PCB. Hoping this cable will provide the necessary
answers.
Hello Jerry,
Nope, nothing special!
If your computer has a serial port, you can hook to it with a null modem
wired serial cable or a straight through cable with a null modem adapter.
A raspberry pi can absolutely be used as a TPDD service. I've done it. One
way is a with a usb-serial adapter, an

It was great meeting in person Daryl! You never know with kids sometimes
they can talk your ear off other times they clam up.
Maybe it's inherited. First time I met my wife through a friend she
wouldn't say anything. Later I learned it was just because she thought I
was a weirdo.
Have a safe trip
Hey John!
Thanks for coming down to catch up with me. I really enjoyed
meeting you and Jack (although gee, can he talk :)). Work got
extremely busy, but it's definitely worthwhile.
And if anyone was wondering what the book was, it's

Hi Nick!
It's a tricky process, hence hard to simplify (and I haven't
done it for a while, plus about to board a plane and head back
to Australia), but what's the reason for uploading *to*
Virtual T?
Welcome, and cheers.

Mauro,
You have a need for them, so you should have them if the original person
does not speak up. Fixing your machine is a better use. I have no specific
need, just thought it would be neat to have a machine with AZERTY keyboard.
