Were you able to trace down the mystery opcode? I was going through the
"Software Manual for Portable Disk Drive (26-3808)" and I have not come up with
anything. I did add your code to tpdd.py on my end but try as I may, I have yet
to uncover a condition where regular TS-DOS sends out that
I really appreciate your staying on top of the REX project. I downloaded build
258 and put it on one of my model 100 computers. I use mine for writing. With
Quatro and rex (in the new carrier) it makes a great word processor. I guess I
need to download build 260 now.

Is REX NEC supposed to work in a PC-8300?
On the one hand:
The REX docs only mention 8201 explicitly, and definitely the two
machines have differences. And in my 8300 the rebuild installer locks up
during erasing blocks, different block# each time. If use an 8201 to run
the rebuilder and then
