FYI, it appears the pot is dead, dead, dead (well, it isn't potentiating, just
letting a rather small bit through). That pot is so small and so very well
soldered to the board that I don't think I can do anything about it. It appears
that this M100 will become my donor.

Hi George, I too had a pot on my NEC 8201 that had died, so I fabricated a
tray to allow new pots to be used to replace these old ones that aren't
made anymore.

Well, Brad, that's a lovely solution to the problem. I'm going to think about
it (even though I have a second M100 coming this week, I don't mind
resuscitating the donor-to-be!

If you want to remove without any drama or damage, get the smallest pack
of chipquick or sra fastchip.
