I'm sure you're right; it's almost identical to the cable used by an IBM ethernet II adapter but there's an extra tiny bump that prevents it from going into the socket. All my PCMCIA modems use different connectors so I think I can toss this cable with a clear conscience ;-) Thanks again, m
