[M100] how about using (3) 2/3 AAA nicad cells for the internal battery?

2017-06-01 Thread user evers
Would there be space for 3x 2/3 AAA cells wired in series for replacing the existing nicad? The 3.6v battery inside is 15mm diameter and AAA cells are 10mm. But twice as long. Maybe just solder in some leads and then hot-glue the battery pack off to the side?

I can't help but wonder if there is not a cordless phone battery pack that might actually fit. I know there are ones that use (3) AAA cells and others that use what appears to be 2/3 "AA". The diameter to work with is 15mm or less. These are all NiMH from what I have looked at. I did order a

[M100] Any feedback on using Entergizer Ultimate Lithium AA cells in the M100/M102?

I got a coupon for $1 off an 8 pack and thought I would try them out. I know in other devices, they tend to last 2-4x longer. I use the AAA size in my Bose headset and they definitely last 3x longer. These are the primary batteries, not the 3.6vdc rechargeables.

[M100] Correct wiring setup for creating my own phone-modem cable (Din8 plug)

Anyone have a link to wiring their own DIN-8 plug to work with phone/modem for use with the internal modem? I did have luck using my old phone coupler with the cell-phone (Iphone 5se) to classic handset method. But I think I have some line noise that is getting in the way. I won't lie, it was

[M100] Anyone have a source for the m100 phone-modem cable?

2017-06-15 Thread user evers
I just realized that the 8 pin plug on my phone/modem port is non-standard. (yeah, old eyes are beginning to fail) Anyone know of a source for these? I am half tempted to remake a plug, but, getting the pins lined up and then having the ground/shell where its supposed to be can be a real chor

[M100] m102 screen has been refinished....

Well, I used the suggestion from the Club and went with an order from Amazon for the Nouvo 1 & 2 to clean up the screen on my m102 WOW!!! I did clean it twice with the "1" and then washed it with hot soapy water. Then I had to use 3 applications of "2" and lots of elbow grease to get 99% of

I've not done a restore project like this in a while. I got the top refinished and used the lazy afternoon to retr0bright it and then finished it up with a very light coat of Armor All. That seems to do a good job with other items to avoid fading. (but keeping it in my "sleeve" is also a good
