Hi Paul, I'm afraid PDF in general is handled somewhat awkwardly by Preview, including the tables you mention. Unfortunately I don't know of any native Mac alternative which would work better. Adobe Reader is completely inaccessible on Mac. The only thing I can think of is using something like
