Hi all
For about a week or so now I have been using the new MacBook Air computer which
Lynne bought for me when we paid our first visit to our local Apple store. The
machine itself is pure gold! It's light, easy to use and has the most
fantastic keyboard action I've ever seen on a MacBook of
Actually a friend of mien has a pro with a clunky ld hard drive, but his is one

I would get an air but I do so much sound work that it's not worth it. Plus I

I type pretty hard and rather fast at times, and I've seen a macbook air this

Gordon,
How do you find the volume output on the headphone jack? This is one of the
reasons I am scared to ditch my trusty 5 year old iMac, as the volume output is
so nice and loud, and worry the Air might not match. Otherwise, I think my
iMac will end up being replaced with an Air.

The only disadvantage about the iMac of this year, is that it has no cd drive,
and given that the air doesn't either, the macbook pro is now the only one with
a cd/dvd drive. Mind you, I hear the newer macbook pros have no cd drive
either.

Hi,
I brefere the Macboo, Pro, because some hardware can be replaced without
problems. For example I've replaced the hard disk by a flash drive from
Samsung, which was much cheeper then the flash drive Apple puts into the
Macbook. With an Air no manual hardware replacement is possible.
But

Hi Michael,
Here's a couple tips.
cmd-n, on your desktop, will open a new Finder window. cmd-grave-accent, the
key next to the number 1, will move between Windows in the same app. If you
keep the windows open between copies, you can use this to be pretty efficient.
What's happening for you is

Can anyone recommend a good app for filling out pdf forms on the Mac or on an
iPhone? I know this has been brought up before but I never had to do this on
the Mac, so never paid attention. Is this even possible on the Mac or iPhone?
Any info would be appreciated.

Heha. That waw one of the fitst keystrokes I was taught 3 years ago as part of

Dear Earl,
Regrettably, I don't know of a suitable way to do this. PDF support on the Mac
is kind of lackluster at the moment, at least with voiceover, and it is a
failing I hope Apple will address. In the meantime, I am unfortunately forced
to use another operating system to fill them out.
Hello all. I just got my refurbed mac book pro today. I am just happy I was
able to get it on my network. Ok here is the question. When I got it it
didn't have me set anything up and it is set as admin. How do I put in my

Apple is moving away from obsolete technologies.

Hi Geoff.
I have a sonos system. It is accessible enough on the IPhone app, I will not
claim about that. My only problem is that the mac version is not that
accessible, some of it is, but you can not control your music sources, and find
music in your music library with the mac app. But the IOS
