Hi Esther,
Thanks for including the link in your post for getting the descriptions for the
podcasts. This will make it easier when I want to view a specific one instead
of opening each one up.
Cheers,

mid-2009 MacBook Pro. How do I turn off the wireless so I can plug
in my ehthernet cable for a more reliable connection? After I'm

Hello all,
I have the Jawbone software installed for my Jambox. There is a new
version of the software. The updater will appear on screen, but there seems
to be no way to get to the updateer so it will update itself. If I left or
right click on it in the system tray, it does not update
I suggest that you remove the updater software from your computer. Then go
and download and install the new version. Once installed go to
http://mytalk.jawbone.com and log in. This should let you access the
updates.

do that all the time they ask for the actual version update?

I hate this Jawbone software. It don't do nothin' like you think it should.
With three screen readers and it still doesn't read? What a bummer! The sign
in link, decides to just sit there, no matter what you seem to do. I
supposedly did install the latest and greatest version and then it said I
Sorry it didn't work for you. I am able to use it on an Imac running

Hello,
Don’t worry about it. If there’s a cable in the ethernet port it will use that

Hi All,
For those of you with iOS devices, Cleaner Pro, an app that allows you to
manage and merge your contacts, including removing duplicate contacts, is free
today. It normally lists for $0.99. I've posted about this app before, so some
of you may already have this. The cleaning functions

Tommy, I realize that, as I have one too, but I ran the update, once and
found no benefits to my device.
I mean, I don't know what if any better functionality it gave to my Jawbone.

Sorry, I didn't realize that you had one. I did change the voice on mine and
I changed the app from voice dial to voice ascommand.
You are right that I haven't noticed a lot of difference.

Can you test this under OSX since this is the mac access list you are writing
to. Not the windows list or the techno chat list which are very wonderful just
like this list.

You just have to eirh wait until it movies or from the terminal cd to the
directory where the files are and do an rm plus the file name and hit enter.
You will get no prompt to confirm this, it will just be gone.
Take care.

Hi Sarah,
I like the apps from this developer (Yoni Tserruya) a lot, because they're
generally well designed and very accessible. The Cleaner Pto app lets you make
a backup of your contacts, too, which you might want to do before making
changes. If you do a full backup when you start the app,

Hello Aleeha,
Welcome to the list. This is an interesting question. Are you certain these
problematic long descriptions are coded as Alt text? Are you able to hear these
descriptions using a different screen reader? If you browse through the various
lists of elements in the web rotor (VO+u)
HI Aleeha,
There's nothing that I can think of which would prevent VoiceOver reading the
alt text on an image in Safari, particularly if you have VoiceOver set to
announce all images. All I can suggest is to experiment with different
browsers. Sorry I can't give you a better answer. Hopefully
Hi!
The subject of Installing OSX onto a Mac frequently comes up here, I'm in the

The following link is just one of a few articles on the topic
Dane,
I didn't read the article but if you google DiskmakerX this free utility works
greate with Lion, Mountain Lion as well Mavericks. Formerly called LionMaker.
I used it last Sunday and very incredible.
Let me know I can put it in our DropBox.
