Voiceover and Zoom work absolutely fine together but you may have to change the convenient short cut keys to increase and decrease magnification on the fly if you want this feature to work. From memory Zoom uses by default some keys that Voiceover uses for hotspots. so you will have to change

Most likely you would get it from the app store. I plan on waiting until at least the first major update before installing it, that's my policy with any operating system, and it certainly was good advice when it came to IOS 8. I may upgrade once IOS 8.1 is released assuming the major issues
