Ah yes Michael, I found my notes, it referred to a mis spelt word where one

Hi!
Twas a long time ago now but I recall someone on this list working with a

I forgot about the VO+Shift+M context menu for the doc items - my mind

Hi all
I found this by pure accident. If you ever want to log into Terminal as root,
all you have to do is this:
1. Open up /Applications/Utilities/terminal.app
2. At the log-in prompt, type the following, (without the quotes):
"sudo bash”
There you go, you’re off and running as “root”. But

Hi Sarah
Yah, bit if you need to access system directories, it’s a snap when you’ve got
yourself root access on-the-fly. I was struggling with Terminal because I
couldn’t get into the root folders. Now, I can. And after all, it isn’t a GUI
you’re using so you aren’t likely to be there unless
ssh -l username host name
for example
ssh -l marrie125 janedoe.dreamhost.com
Marrie125's password will have to be typed when it is asked for on janedoe's
dreamhost server.
If you need an audio demo I can very quickly provide one as I log in to ssh
every day for some stuff on my dream host se

Try an scp. the kicker is the way in which the remote server is handled. but try
scp filename.txt user@remotehost:path/to/filename.txt
I can't remember what to do about spaces as quotes do not work at least for me.
The password will be taken care of during the scp as you will be prompted.
