It’s best to use the Dock for aliases. Personally, I don’t bother with them as it’s so easy to locate any files or folders I want by using the first letter or two of the name. I’m really pretty organised when it comes to storing files. Also, don’t forget that it’s easy to reorganise the Dock so

I am not sure I agree with this. I find that if I am in column view then setting the view options with command J to arrange by name and sort by kind pretty much delivers this result. For example If I do this on my documents folder I find at the top of the window are my folder alias files but
