Hello everybody

Has anybody managed to get a Canon lIDE scanner to work with Lion? We have a
lIDE700F CanoScan and, although I can sort of get it to work, as in the OS
recognises the scanner and tries to use it, it simply won't work properly no
matter which software application I try. I've tried VueScan, (32 and 64-bit),
I've tried FubeReader Express, I've tried using Image Capture which comes with
the OS, all to no effect.

I'm sure it's a driver issue but when I look on the Canon software downloads
page, the drivers for the lIDE700F are gone. It jumps from lIDE300 to lIDE800
with no sign whatsoever of our scanner. I find that very odd, but that's how it
is.

I do remember reading about people having problems with Canon scanners and
printers under Lion; so I wonder if that problem hasn't been fixed. If not, it
leaves us in a kind of fix!

Lynne
