Hello, I am running the latest level of IOS 6 on my iPhone 3GS which does not support IOS 7.
How do I get rid of all notifications except those for calendar events which are about to happen and for inbound text messages? I have looked at the notifications in settings and have used drag and drop to move annoying notifications for BBC News and Pedometer to ""not in notifications center" and have turned alerts and sounds off. However these notifications still pop up, at least on Sunday mornings, and really annoyingly the BBC News notification makes a noise. I believe that if I have alerts on for an app then I have to take action if that app triggers a notification. that is what I want for pending calendar events but not for any other app. For all the other apps I ideally want no notifications at all, or if this is not possible I want no notification sounds. Any tips on how to set this up? Many thanks.
