It's the same as it has always been. .
1. go to view then prior recipients.
2. after finding the recipients you want add them to the address book by
hitting the Add to Contacts button.
3, find the contact yu just eded in the contacts app, address book in lion
4. hit cmd l to edit the card then

Yeah in that case I would try and add the contact from the prior recipients
list, go to the contact in the contacts app, hit cmd l, then edit to your
hart's content. After that hit cmd s to save.

He tried the main Address Book application, searched for a contact he
wanted to edit, and it's not there.
