That's a fair enough reply, but it doesn't get Martin out of his problems,
since Oracle's Java only runs for OS X 10.7.1 and above, I think. Of course,
even though Apple released a Java update for Snow Leopard just this Fall, you

I contacted Apple about this and had a rather lengthy exchange with them. The
upshot was that Apple are passing the book to Oracle. They maintain, and with
a certain justification, that this isn’t their issue at all.
