Hello everybody

Firstly may I thank those who have written to me privately expressing good
wishes for Gordon's recovery. He's home now and resting for the most part
having lost quite a bit of blood.

Anyway, on to the reason for writing, hence the subject line. Yesterday we
received the two Magic Trackpad units I ordered earlier in the week. I haven't
opened them as yet, I wanted to give Gordon the opportunity. But I thought I'd
write first and ask those who do have these devices whether there are any
pitfalls; and what's the first thing you need to do to get them connected.

I'm also wondering whether there is a way of disabling the internal trackpad on
a MacBook Pro, and whether in fact those who have used both would think there
is any advantage to using the Magic Trackpad rather than the internal one on
the machine itself. If not, maybe we'll be better off with the Trackpads on two
of our Mac Minis instead. In fact, one of them is destined for a Mac Mini
which, of course, doesn't come equipped with one by default.
