Yep okay, I thought that too! until I saw the price of the 8500A+, not much
more expensive than a scanner itself and it does quite a lot more when it comes
to document management etc.

I know you talked about that on Techno-Chat not long ago. I'll have to go and

I use my epson PX820 with the scanner built in. it's pretty reasonable.
I used to use a umax powerlook scanner back in the days of SCSI interfaces and
it was amazing for document translation. I have one here about to be set up on
a mac ready to go out.
