Hello everybody Gordon wrote a very clearly explained message yesterday asking people to please not use, or reply to without changing, subject lines such as "Hello all". I know that Gary is new to the group. All the same, this is made clear in the list policy document which everybody was sent. If you didn't read it, why not? You may do so at <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/Mac-Access-Welcome.html> and you'll find this policy explained equally clearly.
We are sorry to harp on about this, but it is creating problems for us. By flagrantly disregarding this policy you're effectively corrupting the list archives, making it more difficult for members who genuinely wish to use the resources we provide to do so. Please, everybody play fair with us. What we are asking is not unreasonable and nor is it time-consuming on your part. So please, everybody, please cooperate. Gary's first message was, perhaps, excusable. Maybe he didn't bother to read the list policy document. Subsequent responses are not excusable; given that a request was made to address this concern by the list support people, (us). If this second request is treated with equal contempt, we will take action. It's unfair on our members; your follow group members. And it's unfair on us; the support people/list owner. So, please regard this as a final request. Subsequent breeches from this point onward will result in action being taken to protect the group as a whole and our resources. If you wish to discuss this with us, by all means write to the support address. This is in no way personal; we're not trying to make anybody's life difficult. But we must force this kind of habit to be broken for the greater good.
