Well I guess Andy it is a type of plug-in but is not part of Audasity.

My Limited understanding is that SoundFlower is some how part of Audacity, and
can be configured to record Voice Over at the same time as it records an input
source. Had I had more success with Audacity, I wouldn't be playing with
Amadeus, not that I'm getting much further with the latter! -

Andy Amadeus can record what's coming through your sound card if you
also use an app like Sound Flower. I'll let others chime in as not used
this.

But the iPod connects via USB, and is an input device to iTunes, so why not for
Amadeus? I know that Amadeus can see external turntables connected via USB on
it's input tab, so not sure why it should discriminate in this way.

Guess the iPod isn't an input device that Amadeus is expecting. It will
expect things like a microphone or a device with a line in/out connection.
