Hi Terry.
When you pair the Bluetooth dongle of the dock to the phone it will
recognise it as being a soundcard.
So once its paired and active your good to go, and no, certainly my
experience of doing this tells me that the sound wont also come out of the
IPhone.

Another question. When the music is playing through the docking station,
and you are using other apps on the iphone, does voce over come through the
speakers on the docking station

No the music will not be played over the iPhone speakers at the same time.
But you might not get Vo over the BT in less you have A2DP . HTH
