I think the open safe files after downloading will open it in the iTunes app,
or what ever you have to open safe files such as text, mp3, what not. I think
the person wanted to know how they would not play in the safari player. Option
enter has so far worked for me.

Option enter will do the trick, except if the link is a java link. Other wise
if it is a direct link to an mp3 then option enter will just force the dl of
the file. no matter what it is mp3, zip, txt, what not.

Press option plus enter on the file to download it, and if that still doesn't
solve it, go into Safari preferences and uncheck the box that says open safe
files after downloading. Hope that helps.

Is there a way to stop MP3 files from playing when I click on them on a
