You can also creat a url shortcut file you can then replace in a folder.
1. create a new text edit document.
2. hit cmd shift t to turn it in to plain text.
3. at the type, type
[InternetShortcut]
4. hit enter twice then type
URL=http://nightly.adium.im/
Hit enter at the end of that address.
Thanks Anne - this helped along with what others have offered, and I now have
several ways to achieve what I want. Great stuff -

vo plus u brings up the rotor not the address thing. according to key board
help. I just looked and that's what it does, not reads the address. You are
thinking vo shift u. According to key board help it reads the current address
of the link you are on.
Take care.

Hello:
When you do command l, you get the address bar, so you can copy the content to
make it a link.
And to get a ling, not the address, just do vo+u and then copy the last to
clipboard and you have the link where it is addressed.
hope it helps

Hello Andy,
The Copy link option in the contextual menu doesn't always work. It all depends
on how the page was coded. However, when on a link, VO-Shift-u will read the
actual link and VO-Shift-c will copy it to the clipboard. It was the Copy link
command that failed when I tried to give you th

Thanks Red Falcon - This was exactly what I was looking for. I'd forgotten
about the context menu and that it might be the place to look for this kind of
thing. All sorted now -

Sometimes that will not for some reason work. You will know this as you will
bet instead of copy link and such, you will get back, and inspect element. I
have this problem on googles lot because of the way they coded the site so I
have to open the page and copy the link to the clip board.
Tc.
Hi!
OK does the VO+shift+m not work for you!
Whilst sitting on that link open that command and one of the options should be
copy link!

Hi all -
Hi all -
Not getting anywhere with this one.
I don't know if this Mac is set up a bit differently to others, but certain
things suggested [if I am understanding correctly] do not work for me. For
example, somebody suggested doing command l to get a web page address, but for
me, this key combin
