Ther eis a bug in voice over wherein the conversation sometimes won't refresh.
A work around is to go to the edit field and hit cmd option left and right
arrow to move to the next and pref conversations. I did this by adding
favorites who I call a lot by checking the box marked favorite.

I can't comment on that; as I said I'm not a user and currently we don't seem
to have any contacts in the table of contacts because this is a new account.
