Hi Paul, Josh, Will, Sarah, and Other, Power nap also requires a firmware upgrade to work for the supported models. This is a hardware limitation, because you can't run power nap without excessive heat generation except on the newest processors, which are built with on-board flash memory module

Hello, Does all this mean that only the latest Macs can automatically download and install software updates while in sleep mode? Does it mean that my 4 year old iMac cannot do automatic download and install of software updates while in sleep mode? If so that is a pity as it would be a nice feat
