Hi, Again, Folks. I just installed Mavericks, and am moving some
large files to Trash. However, I'm finding it takes a long time, and
I can't shut off my Mac properly. How do I speed up the moving to
trash and shut off my MacBook properly? Thanks all over the place.

You just have to eirh wait until it movies or from the terminal cd to the
directory where the files are and do an rm plus the file name and hit enter.
You will get no prompt to confirm this, it will just be gone.
Take care.
