Just for reference, there's no need to change any configuration items in apache to get your main site to work.. By default, if you open http://localhost/ (or the ip assigned to that computer) you'll get the main apache site. You don't need to use the user directories at all if you don't wish

OK guys. So here's the situation. I am running OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2. I have gone under system preferences, then to sharing. I turned on web sharing, which started the web Apache http daemon service built into the OS by default out of the box. The problem is, even after enabling the root
