It looks like it's time for another reminder about using accounts on the mac. In general, if a program wants to do something that is going to affect more than just your files/programs, it will ask for an admin account. You can keep yourself much safer if you have two accounts on your machi

Hi Josh, I haven't used this myself, but try an app called Pianopub, which you should also be able to find at MacUpdate. Alternatively, I believe that you can stream Pandora to other devices (including an Apple TV) through AirPlay, or through Rogue Amoeba's AirFoil app. At present, you'd need

Hi Josh and Others, In general, you can find Mac apps that are both in the Mac App store and outside it by doing a Google search on the software name (e.g. "MacScan, or "Sophos") together with "Macupdate". The MacUpdate site is probably the closest thing we have to a general users review site

I would not worry about it now. Just keep everything as you have it now. I uninstalled sophos as I needed to do something and can't remember now but I've been safe and sophos comes out with updates extremely quickly. I'd google for it as I myself don't have it or check http://www.download.com a

My view points have slightly changed. I used to say no not at all, but when flash back hit this year and some others I said maybe. I'm still on maybe. I would use sophos anti virus. It's free and the only thing that's hard to use is the quarantine option with voice over but it is quite good. Ta
