hi all
switched on a macbook pro earlier today and can't get a single sound out of
it, i tried command f5 to turn vo on in case it was off but nothing. is
there anything else anyone can suggest to get this back working? when i
turn on the machine i get the sound you get when you immediately
Might you possibly use soundflower or some other similar software, and might
you have routed the audio to that application? That's what happened to me, and
I erased the whole hard drive because of it. LOL. Or you might have it routed
to a headset.

I don't know your set up, how ever have you tried hitting the fn key

f12 to make sure volume is up?

to not boot up properly and shut itself down. may be a trip to the
apple store is needed.
