The month calendar view does indeed work as you describe. However my problem is
not what events are happening on 10 August but rather I have a dentist
appointment sometime in mid August but cannot remember when. For this purpose
the list view is ideal if it would start at a sensible

prefences and if it is not there then I guess look at th emac world blog to see
if they have any hints regarding that. lol!

This may help with your origimal question. have you tried using the list tab
which just lists all your events down the centre of the screen? So you can
swipe right to hear each one read out, or just Drag a finger down the screen
and you will hear the word you're looking for.

where eyou think the day is and move your finger accordingly. then tap the day
and at the bottom is the events if any. If no events it will tell you so. The
