Hi Everyone,

I am facing a dilemma and would like your help. Because the answer to my
question may not be directly related to this list, I would ask that you please
write to me privately at:

Here is my dilemma and my question. My current Braille notetaker is about to
bite the dust. I am considering what to do to replace it. I currently own an
18-cell refreshable Braille display. It has been suggested to me that one way
to go would be to buy an iPod Touch to use with the Braille display I already
have. Certainly, the savings in dollars spent would be an immediate no
brainer, but I'm wondering how satisfactory this solution would be. So, are
there those of you out there using such a combination? If so, are you
satisfied with the results? How practical do you find it to pair your iPod
Touch with your Braille display each time you want to use it? Incidentally,
I'm looking at the iPod Touch because I already have a cell phone and don't
want to have to pay for a cell phone data plan. Otherwise, I'd probably get an
iPhone! Any help with this would be most appreciated as well as any
information I can find out about how to use an iPod Touch, so that if I visit
my local Apple Store, I'll have at least a vague idea of what I'm doing.
Thanks in advance!
