i'm running mountain lion, and, no, i don't know if i get any errors on the
screen, cause, well, vo's off. and, nothing's running that would make my hard
drive keep spinning. and even if there was, i quit things like dropbox, and it
still wouldn't sleep

What operating system are you running? Lion or mountain lion. and do you get
any errors on the screen? I'd try waiting until all of your hard drives if
you do set up that way stop spinning. then don't touch any part of the
computer. Maybe something is preventing th emac from going to sleep. I
well, my Mac doesn't sleep. i mean, it acts like it does, but, the disk doesn't
turn off, nor does the fan. but VO seems to stop talking... any help with this?
early 09 Mac mini this be. :)
