The introductory price is $9. I don't want to see what it will be when the sale
ends. Ouch! but I'm sure this is well worth it. I read the article and you can
do a lot, if you have ios8.

I can't seem to get this done through dropbox half the time and I need to get a
zip file to go through phone drive and listen to the unpacked files on my
phone. Can someone talk me through how to set up the transmit app to transfer
files from the mac to the iphone? still using latest version
Transmit is a ftp app. You are not going to do this I don’t think. to use
dropbox simply upload the file, then launch dropbox on ios, and navigate to the
zip file, then after it does what it needs to do click export and it will
export the file in what ever app you choose.

Hi All,
One of the best software solutions for FTP on the Mac is Transmit by Panic, and
they have almost never gone on sale. They noticed that Transmit is now 15
years old, and have put it very briefly on a 24 hour sale. The discount
expires at 11:5- a.m. today PST (that's a little more than
People I’d wholeheartedly echo Esther’s sentiments. Transmit is a fantastic
app and if you need to transfer files at all, you should definitely buy it.

Nice. I love transmit and I encourage those that are in need of an ftp client
to get the client. The dev is wonderful and the program just over all rocks!

Hellow,
I've managed to connect to 1 of my FTP servers, but all my pages for my sites
are stored on an external hard drive. When I go to look for the place where my
pages are stored, I only see the stuff on the actual computer. How do I go
about uploading stuff from an external hard drive?
Hello.
1. go to the part where you see your side of the stuff.
2. hit cmd up arrow a bunch of times until you get to your part where the
computers/drives are list. Cmd c will not work. Perhaps I need to contact the
author about this.
3. brows to your external drive and find the stuff.
4.
If you're not absolutely stuck on a gui ftp program, you can try the
ftp client that comes with osx. Simply open your terminal app (it's
located in the utilities folder under applications) then just type
ftp server
where server is the address of the ftp server you want to connect
to.

hi all, i'm getting so annoyed with transmit, it keeps saying the surver denies
things, when i know the surver is completely alright. it won't let me download
files, when i try it says surver only allows 2 log ins or something, when i'm
only logged in once. i can't use ciber duck properly
Hi all
Anybody tell me please where the option to set the local file path in Transmit
has been moved too? I've kind of got used to the new interface, although it's
quite confusing at first. Is there an easy way to know whether you're in the
remote browser or the local one?
Thanks

Hi all
Can anybody possibly remind me as to the keyboard command to switch windows
between local files and remote view in Transmit? I also need to know how to
change the local path to which Transmit defaults.

Hi all
Please disregard my earlier queries regarding Transmit, I hav it sorted now.
The view was different to how I like it set and I forgot about that.
I do, however, have one more question. I need to upload some MP3 files to a
server, but Transmit won't let me. Is there a reason
I've never encountered any form of FTP which uses TLS to be honest. All I've
seen is SSL with and without implicit identifiers. I'm not even sure Transmit
will do it. But it's been a very long time since I used Transmit to be honest.

That isn't the best way to go. Try using SSL or implicit SSL instead. The
latter uses port 990.

there is a default global path you can set.
Take care.

Hi all,
I'm finding that when I upload a file to my remote server, it's going into the
root and not the folder in which I wish it to. I'm using VO to go to the
folder on the remote side, but I'm clearly not selecting it; or in other
words, changing path. How does one do this?
Cheers.

Hello. Hit cmd down arrow to open the folder then upload the file again in to
that folder. Note that this is a finder wide command so this works almost
everywhere in the finder, or maybe even everywhere. lol. CMD up arrow will
close the folder you are on as well.

Hello all,
From previous posts on this and other lists I know others are using Transmit
FTP client. However I just thought I'd alert people to one of its advantages
that I just (re)discovered.
I can't connect to my work machine using samba any more. However using
Transmit I could mount
Yeah I did apodcast on transmit last year to help someone out and they got
hooked on the software. I don't use the mount volume thing as often as I should
but it does come in handy every once in a while.
Take care.
