Don't know what you used to burn with but it sounds like you used Toast. It
leads me to believe that the preferences were set for the wrong drive as if
you had moved your copy of Toast from the Powerbook and it preserved the
Powerbook preferences.
You may want to open up Toast Preferen

But you may try "Get Info" on an Illustrator file and in the Info window,
set the default application you want to use to open these files and apply to
all Illustrator files. There you will be able to select the appropriate

You even got me confused on that reply! :)
As I said, check your Toast preferences and be done with it. Most all
internal drives, both hard drives and opticals are ATA. That describes the
bus or the interface to the drive.

/Library/Application Support/Adobe and
/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Also, look inside
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 10/
I would not remove the Application Support files but I would try removing
the Adobe Ill
