John, Since I switched to Google free email, it has been a lot easier to manage my email. This particular thread of 5 emails came bundled with your email address and the subject displayed. If I wasn't interested, I could have deleted all 5 without reading even one of them. After reading through

John, There is a digest version of the listserve. It's mailed out once a day and contains all the emails sent during the preceding 24 hours. Unfortunately I cannot tell you how to sign up for that. someone else will chime in, I'm sure. Also, the list has been unusually busy the last few days.

Ray- My personal advice to your co-worker would be to update the Illustrator and Quark programs, and forget about running Classic. That's what I did, I updated MS Works, Photoshop, Vector, Filemaker, and some others and I have never been sorry. I now use system 10.3.4 without Classic on my G5

My co-worker wants verification that if she buys a new G5, that she can still run her classic apps like Illustrator 8 and Quark 4 without having to buy the newer OS 10.3 versions. I told her that I am pretty sure that a new clean install of 10.3 would still have classic support for these apps
