I just bought a new iMac running OS 10.7.3. The Apple store transferred the apps and files from the old one to the new one. Every thing transferred except those apps running under Power Mac, which were mercifully small and if needed can be accessed from the old iMac, which is still operating. D

Harry, I purchased it from the Apple store, it's very small but fits into the USB slot. I wanted this type as I may be doing a conversion outside a high speed internet connection. Lee has sent you the ways to do the download and then move to another drive so now you have a choice. John On
