In http://trac.macports.org/changeset/37370, the plugin behavior of qt4-mac was changed "to prevent a resource leak."
I have a port of QT Creator, but r37370 is an impediment. Without r37370, the port is trivial. The person who made the changes was removed as a maintainer (http://trac.macports.org/changeset/59699). I would like to remove the change to facilitate QT Creator, but I do not fully understand why it was made in the first place. Does anyone have any insights?
