I don't think that "sudo gcc select" has an effect on the compiler which is
used to build this port. There is a patch that forces the use of a specific
version of the compiler (clang for C and C++ and gfortran for Fortran).

Hello,
I am maintaining the Gildas port which depends on the CFITSIO library. CFITSIO
has a Fortran interface but it is not built by default: one need to select a
specific variant (e.g. +gcc 5) for this. This is a problem for the Gildas
because the compilation fails without the Fortran

Hi all,
I’m writing a portfile for a software written in C/C++ and Fortran77/90:
http://trac.macports.org/ticket/42886
Following a comment macsforever2000, I’ve modified my original port to provide
several fortran compiler variants. However, my port requires that CC, CXX, CPP,

Hello,
I am working on a port that requires setting a few environnement variable at
run time. How can this be done?
Thanks,
Sébastien

Depends on which variables and in which phase. You can directly set
configure.env
