Weird, it doesn't seems to work for me.
I executed this line:
sudo sed -i .bak '/GTK_DISABLE_DEPRECATED/d'
/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_ports_www_firefox-x11/work/mozilla/configure
which as understand is exactly what they've done for go
I'm under the gun right now. I'll be able to try at least by Monday.

in whatever options I need to the configure script. Only then do I
need to manage future updates to the package. Got it.
