Hadn't seen dante before, but I wouldn't be surprised if it also fails.

Do you know if dante works similarly?
I tried installing dante from ports but I also get an error:
$ socksify irc
socksify: missing /opt/local/lib/libdsocks.so. no preload support?

Ah, both those lines do not work; I get the same error.
Is tsocks the same as the 'torify' command? Is there an alternative I
can use to run programs through Tor? Like there is Torbutton for
Firefox but I remember I used to be able to do 'torify firefox' and
it would start Firefox already using To

Just installed tsocks from port
Whenever I try to use it with anything though, I get this error:
$ tsocks irc
dyld: could not load inserted library: /opt/local/lib/libtsocks.dylib
Trace/BPT trap
$
Same with Firefox, etc.

I just installed 'claws-m...@3.7.6', apparntly successfully, but when I
try to launch it from terminal (after launching X11) I get the expected
message 'Xlib: extension "RANDR" missing on display ":0.0"'. From the
message board I've gathered that this is harmless, but nothing else
happens: th

I suppose theoretically you could review all the source you get
Sorry for bothering you again with a qt4 problem. I tried to update to qt4-mac
4.6.3 today and the build didn't finish. These are the last lines from the
logfile:
:info:build /usr/bin/g++-4.2 -c -pipe -O2 -arch x86_64 -Xarch_x86_64

If I can get the same thing either way, e.g. Tor/Privoxy from MacPorts and the
Vidalia package from the Tor website, is there a security advantage for one
over the other?
