Chris: I¹ve been doing this every time I¹ve tried to troubleshoot this (new Mavericks package for macports as well) ‹ several times.The error has indeed continued with 4.8.*2* Same error, same junction. I concur that the the install of Xcode may likely be the culprit, in part since Xcode 5.
