Hi.
Apologies in advance for the stupid question.
I received notices yesterday that Unison +aqua (#25981/24721/21862) is
no longer maintained.
I understood this to mean that this variant of Unison wouldn't be
updated anymore.
But I thought perhaps that Unison (the cli utility) would still be OK

Funny, I just did my weekly port selfupdate & upgrade outdated and ended

Cleaning and trying again and will report back.

Hi Jan.
I installed transcode, Imagemagick, ffmpeg, lsdvd, mplayer,
ogmtools, dvdxchap and mjpeqtools. The other recommended programs
don't have ports.
I installed dvdrip using:
sudo port install dvdrip
sudo port content dvdrip shows:

Hi.
I installed dvdrip a few moments ago and am trying to get it to do
anything. I understand that it is a perl front end to transcode but was
hoping there was something close to the dvd::rip outlined on the web.
dvd::rip is a gui, so I thought I'd find it in /Applications/MacPorts/
but no luck.

Hi!
I did the update to Xcode 5 & installed Command Line Tools last week.
Yesterday I did my occasional
sudo port upgrade outdated
and for the first time had this error. I'm not sure which of the ports
that I have installed required libquicktime but now it requires
libquicktime-deve
Thank you Brandon & Jeremy.
On the first run, Xcode didn't give me the option to remove. So I
tried Brandon's suggestion:
sudo /Developer/Library/unins

This removed mostly everything. I put the left over from /Develope
Hi.
I'm confused and haven't found the answer to this yet.
I did an in-place upgrade from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion. (Yes, I
know a full and fresh install would have been better, but I don't have
time to install all the various apps.)
As I use a number of MacPort apps I had already done
Hey Sam,
Thanks for the references. I was reading from TrueCrypt license v3.
Your links refer to Truecrypt license 2.5. I presume your comments are
with regard to v3 of their license.
I see that there has been some movement to review the v3 license again
by both Debian and Ubuntu.

I've been trying to install MyPaint. I've done selfupdate etc. a few times.
A few days ago when I tried Macports tried to install v0.9.1. I gave up
because it failed and I saw that there is a bug/update on the tracker
that indicated Macports was supposed to install v1.0. I did a clean and

I tried to download manually. I got a message about broken
heuristic/virus detected, or something like that.
When I put an exception for packages.macports.org it all started to work
again. Thanks!
One final question.
Do you have any idea why this worked OK under Leopard but when I

Please find the gperf.log file attached. It's actually called main.log
but was in the
/opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_gperf

Hi!
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here and appreciate some pointers.
I've been using Macports for some years without incident.
I upgraded from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 yesterday.
I deleted the old /opt directory & tree and downloaded 2.0.3 and
installed new.
I did "sudo port upgrade" and it says ev
