Good Afternoon David,
I found this: http://www.zophar.net/macintosh/snes.html . I haven't had the
time yet to download the emulators and try them though.
BTW, if I may: David Evans, as "THE David Evans from Coursera's CS101"?

Yeah, likely a firewall. The policy here is block everything first
and ask questions later. I'll try again when I get home. Thank you.
Suggestion: add "you may be behind a firewall" to the error message. :)
Thank you! - Bruce

Your ISP or firewall is blocking the actual process, otherwise it would "just

Please consider
$ sudo port selfupdate

you.

Thanks to all for the help, but it's largely beyond my immediate
understanding. I really appreciate all the effort put into helping
me, though.
Clearly, I am indeed Mac-spoiled. Haven't used anything remotely
terminal-like in ages and it's mostly Greek to me. (Whereas Greek

sudo port -d install foo

Greetings.
Pardon my ignorance, but I can't find out how to begin using MacPorts.
I have a MacBook just under a year old, with a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
processor and OS X 10.5.4.
I installed appropriate versions of X11, Xcode & MacPorts - all
successfully, as I understood it.
Please discard. I found the wiki (
