For the unix-geek, there is nothing wrong with man(1). I've been using it for
nearly 40 years and am happy to have it on MacOS X.

browser box, in preferences, message comes up saying not supported.
Also put "use a locally installed copy " thin doesn't work either

I just tried again and it worked. I think the problem may have been
because I tried to do the update in a public library, and the network
admin may have blocked that port. It worked fine at home.
