As far as I can tell, you need to use fglrx with the C2D MBP since the free radeon driver does not support the Radeon Mobility X1600 card. I would love to stop using fglrx, since it makes s2ram pretty annoying (I have to stop X before suspending). If you have any luck with another video driver for

[Mactel-linux-users] ALSA: PCM control doesn't work

Hi, I have a new MacBook (13", black, don't know its technical name) and since the kernel 2.6.21 it happend sometimes that I can't use the PCM control in the ALSA mixer. I use the standard kernel from my distribution (ArchLinux) There is a mactel patch applied but I don't know which. Desc
