hi sven! to activate the xvideo extension i had to do the following: put Option "VideoOverlay" "on" Option "OpenGLOverlay" "off" in the device section of your xorg.conf file, then restart the x-server. then check with the program "xvinfo" if xvideo is activeted. maybe this helps!
